COURSE RULES AND POLICIES
Following our course rules and policies help ensure that everyone’s round at Copper Creek is an enjoyable experience:
GENERAL RULES
- Please follow all posted signs on the golf course
- No golf carts on areas to left of the cart path.
- Holes 5 and 8 are ALWAYS cart path only.
- 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete your round. (About 15 min. per hole)
- No fivesome play allowed.
- Do not pass groups ahead of you.
Copper Creek is nested within a residential area.
-
- Please do not drive your cart into residents’ backyards or onto berms by backyards. Leave your cart 20 feet from the backyard and walk to find your ball.
- Be respectful when searching for your ball in backyards, and mindful that you have 15 minutes to complete each hole.
SCHEDULING YOUR TEE TIME
You must be 18 years of age or older to rent a golf cart.
- If you are 18 years of age, all golfers in your group who plan to ride in a cart must also be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid state-issued driver’s licenses for each party in the group must be produced and will be held by the pro shop until the round is over.
- If these conditions cannot be met, the group is welcome to walk their round.
PRIOR TO PLAY
- Please check in 10 minutes prior to your start time. If you are running late, please call the pro shop. Late check-ins may result in a delay or loss of tee time.
- Please review our Rules and Policies sign and Daily Instructions board when checking in.
- Please be attentive to verbal instructions from staff prior to launch.
PACE OF PLAY and COURSE ETIQUETTE
- The generally-accepted pace of play for 9 holes among Michigan golf courses is 2.25 hours, or an average maximum of 15 minutes per hole. As a helpful gauge for pace of play, at the 1-hour mark, you should be clearing the fourth green. At the 2-hour mark, you should be clearing the eighth green.
- Carts must be off the golf course by sunset. Sunset times are posted daily in the pro shop.
- To maintain an enjoyable pace of play and to prevent back-ups on the course, groups booking with less than a foursome will most likely be paired with another party.
- Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of a scheduled tee time to receive a refund. Special considerations may apply at the discretion of the pro shop.
- If you are a single golfer, we recommend you call the pro shop to see when we may be able to fit you into the flow of scheduled play. Please know that at peak times, and especially on weekends, we may not be able to get you on the course in a timely manner.
MAKING PLAY AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL GOLFERS
Please contact the pro shop if you observe a group:
- Playing slower than 15 minutes per hole
- Hitting more than one ball per golfer
- Taking carts into backyards
- Not obeying posted signs
- Disruptive behavior
- Destroying property
Your call will remain anonymous.
RAINCHECK POLICY
A raincheck will be issued when 4 holes or less have been played (about 1 hour on the course).
